A damaged tree can sometimes be saved from felling by installing a tree bracing system. There are dynamic (flexibel) and also static systems. In this Aleppo pine with a big crack in the primary branch units, both sytems were installed.
The tree was not capable of fixing the crack by itself and removing the entire tree was also not an option. Besides installing both systems, the crown volume was also slightly reduced in order to reduce the impact on the crack and optimally prepare it for storms.
